National Afternoon Tea Week with The Great Inns of Britain
From 14 – 20 August, the nation will celebrate the Great British pastime of Afternoon Tea. The oh so British love of bitesize savoury and sweet treats, accompanied by some of the 165 million cups of tea we drink each day has been a tradition since the 1840’s and it’s just as popular today. We have handpicked a selection of our favourite spots to take afternoon tea around the UK, including traditional menus and unique takes on the quintessential mid afternoon treat.
The Boar’s Head
Classic ingredients are what make The Boar’s Head’s Afternoon Tea a real treat. Choose your own sandwiches before tucking in to a selection of sweets including scones with jam and chantilly cream, a delectably rich chocolate tart, slice of carrot cake and – if you can squeeze it in, a mini chocolate eclair. Washed down with tea or coffee; we’d recommend taking your Afternoon Tea in the delightful gardens, weather permitting!
£13.00 per person
