The Shibden Mill Inn has made it to the final stages of The Great British Pub Awards 2016; the inn has been shortlisted as one of six national finalists in the Best Inn category.
Owners Simon and Caitlin Heaton, who have run the 350 year old inn for almost two decades, are hoping to be crowned champion of the Best Inn category.
Commenting, Simon Heaton, said: “It is great to know that Shibden Mill Inn continues to impress judges and has again beaten off stiff competition to make it as a national finalist in these prestigious awards. We are committed to providing a memorable experience for all our visitors, in every aspect of what we do – it is a real team effort – so recognition of this kind is testimony to the hard work and dedication of everyone who works here at the Inn. We’re delighted.”
The awards night will take place on 5 October at the London Hilton on Park Lane, where the national champions in each of the awards 16 categories will be announced, along with the overall champion – the Great British Pub of the Year 2016.
The Yorkshire-based inn was awarded the title of The Great British Pub of the Year 2015, after being crowned with the accolade at last year’s awards.
