Halifax based freehouse has been crowned the Sky Great British Pub of 2015
The historic pub, owned by Simon Heaton, the chairman of The Great Inns of Britain, was selected from the finalists of the Great British Pub Awards National Category Winners, to take the prestigious award. Simon was a double winner,also taking home the Freehouse of the Year award at the ceremony on Thursday 10 September 2015 at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel.
These accolades mark almost two decades hard work for Simon, who has lovingly nurtured Shibden Mill Inn into one of West Yorkshire’s favourite establishments, and now the country’s top pub!
He was presented his awards by the host, comedian Sean Locke and by Sky’s boxing expert, John Nelson
