Halloween Horrors at Holkham – 24th – 27th October, 10am-5pm
An exciting mystery trail for children and their families to uncover the secrets behind the spooky goings-on at Holkham Hall! Find out the truth behind all the commotion – could it be witchcraft? There’ll be spooky spells in the hallways, pointing fingers and suspects galore, puzzling potions in the walled garden and a bubbling cauldron! Children can enjoy pumpkin carving, face painting, spell writing with quill and ink, storytelling, creepy-crawly conundrums and our family favourite costume parade. Once you’ve uncovered the wicked witch and her spells, you can have a go at playing quidditch! Witches, wizards, boys and ghouls – grab your broomsticks and prepare to be bewitched this Halloween at Holkham!
19th – 31st October: Treetop Terrors at Holkham, 9am-late
Do you dare take to the trees and experience the ropes course of horror? Beware of the ghosts, swooping bats and spooky spiders as you tiptoe over creaky crossings, trembling bridges, and make your descent down hair-raising zip wires. Join Holkham Ropes as dusk falls and brace yourselves for the terrifying treetops at twilight…Whatever you do, don’t look down…
The Victoria also overlooks the Holkham National Nature Reserve which transforms during autumn and winter, with vibrant autumnal colours and arrival of new wildlife. Including the 60,000 pink-footed geese that call Holkham their home during the winter. There are a number of nature based events over autumn including:
