Found in some of Britain’s most charming countryside and coastal locations, our inns have a selection of hundreds of wines from across the globe. From dessert wines, to elegant reds, and sparkling whites, our inns have a little something to suit the tastes of all of our guests. Here is a selection of some of our favourites, that can be found within our inns.
The Inn at Whitewell
The Inn at Whitewell offers its guests over 400 hundred wines from across the world which have been supplied by Bowland Forest Vintners. The wines included in its selection have been handpicked based on their interest, rarity, and age and represent outstanding quality. These wines would typically be offered at a more expensive price, but great value is offered here with the inn being home to Bowland Forest Vintners.
The Rose & Crown
Relax and cherish a glass of one of 50 great-tasting wines at The Rose & Crown. You’ll feel right at home at the inn’s bar which has stone-flagged floors, old wooden beams, rural knick-knacks and a big open fireplace. The bar is dog-friendly too, so there’s no need to leave your four-legged friend at home if you’re looking to sample some great-tasting wine.
The Peacock
This National Wine Day, The Peacock is spotlighting its Gusbourne blanc de blanc sparkling wine, a bright wine with a creamy texture that is only available within a handful of restaurants. The inn’s chef even uses this great-tasting wine to create the sorbet within one of the inn’s staple desserts.
Selkirk Arms
The Selkirk Arms similarly has a healthy selection of wines that guests will be able to fill their glasses up with during their stay. As well as a variety of crisp wines to robust reds, their wine menu also includes a great tasting selection of non-alcoholic wines. These alcohol-free options cater to all guests, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the sophistication and flavours of fine wine without the alcohol content.
The King’s Head Inn
The King’s Head Inn combines the best wines from Europe and the New World. The team works closely with Oxford Wine Company and Haynes Hanson Clark and they update their wine list regularly to always give guests something new to experience. Whether you prefer a crisp white wine, a sparkling delight, or a celebratory champagne, their carefully curated collection has something to suit every palate.
